A co-founder of the Old School Anti-Ageism Clearinghouse, Ashton is at the forefront of the emerging movement to raise awareness of ageism and to dismantle it. She speaks widely at venues that have included the TED mainstage and the United Nations, has been recognized by the New York Times, the New Yorker, National Public Radio, and the American Society on Aging as an expert on ageism; and is the voice of Yo, Is This Ageist? In 2022 the UN named Ashton one of the Healthy Aging 50: fifty leaders transforming the world to be a better place to grow older.

Lorraine Cortés-Vázquez, Commissioner NYC Department of the Aging
As Commissioner to the Department for the Aging, Lorraine works to create equity and increase diversity around the older adult centers across the city. Prior to her work in the Mayor’s Office, she served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Relations and Government Affairs at EmblemHealth. Lorraine was also the Executive Vice President for Multicultural Markets and Engagement at AARP, where she spearheaded a five year strategic plan to increase both diversity in membership and AARP’s involvement in multicultural communities.

Patty oversees Consumer Insights teams working on health security, financial security, loneliness, social connections, and technology as well as family, home, and community issues. Before joining Unitedhealthcare, Dr. Sun held a leadership role within the CMS quality programs and led many state and national initiatives to improve population health from his positions at LSU, Tulane, UMKC, Ochsner Health, and most recently, The University of Kansas Department of Health Policy. He also serves on many state and national boards and has over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, graduate medical education, population health, and health plan leadership.
Dr. Adele Towers, Director of Risk Adjustment UPMC Enterprises
Dr. Towers is the Director of Risk Adjustment for UPMC Enterprises, where she is a member of the Digital Solutions team.
